“The Wilderness of You”

Under the inspired leadership of Dr. Andrea Ramsey, mixed choruses from across the United States will embark on a transformative musical journey, culminating in a gala concert at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. The performance will feature the world premiere of The Wilderness of You, a multi-movement choral work composed by Dr. Ramsey, written accessibly for university, advanced high school, and community ensembles.

Celebrating the human experience, The Wilderness of You invites us to reconnect with ourselves and marvel at the wonders of our existence. Through five movements, Dr. Ramsey adapts the poetry of Jarod K. Anderson—Field Guide to a Haunted Forest, Love Notes from the Hollow Tree, and Leaf Litter—to explore the shared mysteries of our bodies and the awe they inspire. The work delves into the intricate beauty of human life and encourages a deeper understanding of the world within and around us.
