Sample Itinerary: 9 Days | 7 nights
Day 1 – USA / HO CHI MINH CITY
The journey begins by boarding an international flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, which is the largest city in Vietnam. Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.
Day 2 – HO CHI MINH CITY
On your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be greeted by the friendly Perform International representatives. Even though Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City in 1975, the old Saigon name is still used by both Vietnamese and foreigners, especially when referring to the most central part of the city to which most tourists flock. The Perform International representatives will escort you to your hotel.
Day 3 – HO CHI MINH CITY
There will be a visit on this day to the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore the famous revolutionary vestige of Ho Chi Minh. After lunch at the best Vietnamese Pho restaurant, you will visit the Reunification Palace, the former residence of French governors of Cochinchina before 1975, and the War Remnants Museum. You will also visit the Lacquer Ware of Tay Son Handmade Workshop, where the skillful artisans will show you the whole lacquer making process. Later, you will enjoy a welcome dinner with the traditional show.
Day 4 – HO CHI MINH CITY
You will have the opportunity on this day to visit a Ho Chi Minh City school campus for a musical and social cultural exchange. In the evening you will be part of a formal performance at Concert Hall.
Day 5 – HO CHI MINH CITY / HANOI
On this morning there will be some free time. By mid-day, you will check out of your hotel and take a short flight to Hanoi. You will be having dinner upon arrival before checking in the hotel.
Day 6 – HANOI
On this day you will visit the “Hilton Hanoi Hotel” and the Hoa Lo historical vestiges, which were used to house many patriots and communist people in prison. You will also visit Vietnam’s first university and the Temple of Literature. In Badinh Square, which is Vietnams’ political center located in the National Congress Building, you will see the President Palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Other attractions will include President Hochiminh’s Mausoleum, old house and One Pillar Pagoda. In the afternoon, you will take an excursion to Van Phuc Silk Village followed by a 1-hour cyclo tour around Hanoi’s old quarters.
Day 7 – HANOI
You will have the opportunity on this day to visit a Hanoi school campus for a musical and social cultural exchange. In the evening you will be a part of a formal performance at the Concert Hall.
Day 8 – HANOI / HALONG BAY
This day you will depart for Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Halong Bay features 3,000 islands and islet in the bay. Upon arrival, you will take a short drive to the Halong dock for a boat cruise around the clear and emerald waters of the bay. First, you will visit the Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave. Then you will have a pleasant, relaxing day on board the boat. This area is rich with close-up views of stunning limestone peaks, such as the Drum Cave, the Fighting Cock Islet and Incence Burner Man’s Head Islet. Next, you will be heading to the Van Gia Fishing Village. Here, you will have the opportunity to understand more about the daily life of the fishermen. A seafood lunch will be served on board. Later, you will return to Hanoi for a Water Puppet Show that night.
Day 9 – HANOI / USA
On this final day in Hanoi, you will relax at the hotel after breakfast before traveling to the airport for your return flight home, ending your fantastic journey in Vietnam.
