Sample Itinerary: 9 Days | 7 nights

Day 1 – USA / SINGAPORE

You will begin your journey by boarding an international flight to Singapore. This city combines the skyscrapers and subways of a modern, affluent city with a medley of Chinese, Malay and Indian influences and a tropical climate, with tasty food, good shopping spots and a vibrant nightlife scene.  Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.

Day 2 – SINGAPORE

On your arrival in Singapore, you will be greeted by the friendly Perform International representatives. Dining and shopping are said to be Singapore’s national pastimes. The diversity of food is given as a reason to visit Singapore and the variety of food is seen as a symbol of its multiculturalism. The Perform International representatives will escort you to your hotel.

Day 3 – SINGAPORE

In the morning, you will be visiting Merlion Park. This popular tourist attraction is among the famous landmarks of the great cities of the world. You will also visit the Old Parliament House which is currently a multi-disciplinary arts venue which plays host to art exhibitions and concerts. You will visit the Statues of Sir Stamford Raffles, Esplanade and Little India.  In the afternoon, you’ll go to Chinatown and Thian Hock Keng Temple, which is the oldest and most important Hokkien Temple in Singapore. The temple was built without the use of any nails in traditional southern Chinese architectural style.

Day 4 – SINGAPORE

On this day, you will have the opportunity to visit a Singapore school campus for a musical and social cultural exchange. In the evening, you will be part of a formal performance at Concert Hall.

Day 5 – SINGAPORE / MALACCA, MALAYSIA

After breakfast, you will cross the Johor Causeway, which links Singapore to Peninsula Malaysia. After brief formalities, you will enter Johor Bharu – the southernmost state of Malaysia. On your way to Malacca, you will pass lush tropical jungles, rubber and palm oil plantations and enchanting laid-back kampong or Malay villages. At a rest stop in Aw Pottery, you can witness traditional methods of firing pottery maintained by four generations of potters. After lunch, you will tour the historical city of Malacca, visiting major attractions like St. Paul’s Hill, the renowned Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Jonkers Street for antique souvenir hunting. You will visit the Baba Nyonya Museum for a unique insight of the lifestyle and tradition of the unique peranakans. Originating from a combination of both Chinese and Malay influences in cooking, Nyonya food uses generous amount of spices, coconut milk and shrimp paste (or locally known as sambal belacan) to enhance the flavor of food. On this night, you will enjoy a sumptuous Nyonya dinner. Once you’ve tried Nyonya food, you’ll never forget the irresistible thick gravies with seafood or meat that matches perfectly with rice and noodles!

Day 6 – MALACCA / KUALA LUMPUR

On this morning, your schedule will be free and easy until the group will gather to travel to Kuala Lumpur – the capital city of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur, literally meaning ‘muddy estuary’ in Malay, is popularly known as KL and is the largest city of Malaysia. You will visit the planned city of Putrajaya, where you can see the Prime Minister’s Office, the Putrajaya Mosque, Millennium Bridge, Sri Perdana Gallery and the KL Tower.

Day 7 – KUALA LUMPUR

On this day, you will have a city tour of Kuala Lumpur. Attractions there include the Batu Caves, Pewter Factory, Batik Demonstration Center and the National Monument. You will also see the King’s Palace, Independence Square, the Twin Tower (outside view), the Bintang Walk, and the Pavilion Mall. This day’s lunch will feature Chicken Break and Bak Kut Teh.

Day 8 – KUALA LUMPUR

You will have the opportunity to visit a school campus for a musical and social cultural exchange. In the evening you will have a formal performance at the Concert Hall.

Day 9 – KUALA LUMPUR / USA

On this final day in Kuala Lumpur, you will travel to the airport after breakfast for your return flight home, taking with you lasting memories of this magnificent trip to Singapore and Malaysia.
