Sample Itinerary: 6 Days | 4 nights

Day 1 – USA / MANILA

You will begin your journey by boarding an international flight to Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. It is one of the sixteen cities (along with the municipality of Pateros) that comprise the national capital region called Metro Manila.  Meals and snacks will be served on the plane.

Day 2 – MANILA

On your arrival at Manila International Airport, you will be greeted by the friendly Perform International representatives. The Perform International representatives will escort you to your hotel.

Day 3 – MANILA

You will start your tour of this city at Manila’s historical landmarks such as Rizal Park, the country’s premier park and site of many important events in the country’s history; Intramuros, the Spanish colonial city which houses Fort Santiago, the old Spanish military headquarters; San Agustin Church, the oldest stone church in the city with its own museum of religious and secular art; and Barrio San Luis, a complex of reconstructed period house depicting the Filipino lifestyle of the 19th century. The next stop will be the Chinese Cemetery known for its peculiar grandiose mausoleums with a fascinating blend of different religious elements.  Afterwards, you will go to Manila Ocean Park, an oceanarium located at the Rizal Park behind the Quirino Grandstand. The oceanarium is divided into sections specifically designed to showcase marine life seldom seen at close range. Perhaps its biggest attraction yet is the “Buhay na Karagatan” (Living Ocean), a walkway tunnel with fish of varying shapes and sizes that swim around you every step of the path.

Day 4 – MANILA

You will have the opportunity on this day to visit a Manila school campus for a musical and social cultural exchange. In the evening, you will be part of a formal performance at Concert Hall.

Day 5 – MANILA

Today’s highlight will be Corregidor Island. This tadpole-shaped island located 29 miles west of Manila is a treasure trove of information for history buffs. Accessible by a one-hour ride from Manila on board a 150-seat fast ferry, Corregidor is also known as “The Rock.” During World War II it was the focal point of Manila’s naval defence. It is here where a handful of Filipino and American patriots resisted the fury of the Japanese onslaught aimed at conquering the country at the beginning of the war. A guided tour on board a “trivia” or bus takes you through landmarks and features that made this island a formidable defence bastion: gigantic cannons, a mile-long barracks facility that once housed thousands of soldiers and a Pacific War Memorial museum with war relics and photos. You can also enjoy a multimedia presentation inside the darkened Malinta Tunnel where Douglas McArthur met with Philippine Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon and from which they made their historic escape.

Day 6 – MANILA

On this final day in Manila, after breakfast you will travel to the airport for your return flight home, taking with you lasting memories of this wonderful trip to the Philippines.
